Welcome to Dan Setzman
Dan Setzman has established himself as one of the top mountain guides in the United States, and with reason. In his time as a mountain guide in Colorado, Dan Setzman has built a reputation as one of the most experienced, well traveled and knowledgable mountain guides in the business, leading hundreds of people into, and more importantly, out of the rocky mountains.
Setzman's knowledge of all things mountain climbing comes from his life experiences. An avid mountain climber himself, Setzman has conquered such famous peaks as Mount McKinley, Mount St. Helen, Mount Kilimanjaro and even the tallest peak on the planet Earth, Mount Everest. In fact, this is Dan Setzman's third time climbing Mount Everest, after twice climbing Mount McKinley. This love for mountain climbing has had Setzman travel across the world, climbing mountains on all continents, from the Rockies to the Himalayas to the Andes. It is that experience that has made Dan Setzman one of the most in-demand mountain guides in the entire United States.
When not off in the mountains, Dan Setzman runs his own school devoted to mountain climbing. Each class runs for three weeks. Two weeks are devoted to indoor classes, where students are taught the proper techniques of rock and mountain climbing, first aid procedure in case you're injured on an unsupervised climb, and what kind of equipment to bring along with you. After two weeks working in classrooms and with supervised indoor rock climbing walls, Stetzman takes the group out into the mountain range and watches over the students as they climb up the face of one of the many beautiful mountains in the Rocky Mountain range.
Even though he has seen much of the world in his travels, Dan Setzman continues to vow that he will continue to travel the world, climb mountains, and teach others how to climb mountains safely
